~Pink Break~

My creativity is totally saturated with Autumn color and I don’t know about you,

but I feel I need a little  break…

Break away with me and let’s do PINK!

PINK colors my world…in the petals of an old rose in my garden…

and my daughter’s {temporarily} PINK hair…

{more on this in an upcoming post}

Creamy Ladurée PINK pastries tempt me every day that I am in Paris ~

thank goodness I do not live there full time!

and this delicate PINK tea set by Sévres

that was

shown at the Exposition Universelle

Paris 1867

is a PINK fantasy I would love to own

Fortunately I do possess this griffin etched crystal decanter

rescued from a thrift shop ~

Sometimes I fill  it with pink bubble bath

PINK pearls and roses look wonderful

encircling a favorite French flourish

found at a Parisian Flea Market

There always seems to be a

profusion of PINK

at the floral shop in my Paris neighborhood

PINK bouquet in an original French Kissed marriage

between a rustic steer horn and a delicate vintage cherub cup holder…

oh so Rough Luxe

and it looks even better

sitting atop a PINK covered

Veranda magazine

Found: my favorite PINK bowl in a village in the Cotswolds…

Natural PINK crystals paired with old silver from the thrift ~ another favorite French Kissed pairing that seems to fit the newly christened Rough Luxe genre…

PINK roses guarding the gate

leading to a small private vineyard

PINK sea shells swimming in a vintage gravy boat

~ PINK ~

Thinking PINK ~ even  for a couple of moments ~  always lightens and brightens my day.

    Jermaine,
Beautiful pictures of rose you showed here!! Wouw! My preferred one is the Sèvres tea set! Gorgeous isn’t it! Maybe we would not dare to use it! But even have it to look at would be great!!

Jermaine, I also want to thank you for the sweet comments you always do on my blogposts!

    Hugs,
    Greet

It is a day with portent of rain. I want an excuse from raking up autumn. I chose all these trees and shrubs to say goodbye with a riotous rainbow. Pink, of course, is not among them. Your post is a reminder that underneath the spice of fall lays waiting the pink of early May. Beautiful photos.

  3. Good morning Jermaine, I could never get tired of Pink… and your post is a delicious and always charming pink one. I can´t wait to know about your daughter´s pink hair… really??!! I love your roses!!!
    Have a very great week

Bonjour. Whew…I’m not alone. My husband doesn’t understand my fascination for pretty little porcelain pieces. Now, let’s hold back on those doilies over the back of the couch, deal? XO Trish

I love griffins and that decanter is fabulous! I also like the juxtaposition of the horn in the brass cherub holder.

The front dessert is my all time favorite at Laduree. The shop Au Nome de la Rose is my favorite store in the afternoon when the spent rose petals are scattered outside and the rose mist is wafting in the air. I am so looking forward to this in a couple of weeks! Thank you for the visit prompt of what I have to look forward to.

Gorgeous Pinkness!!!! I had to laugh at your rough luxe photo, but so very pretty. Lovin the idea. The etched griffin crystal decanter is crazy wonderful! And the photo of the table full of roses at the florist is breath-taking!!

Ooooh, I like all of your pink images, especially the pink crystal decanter, it is so gorgeous. The post before this one was so wonderful, I have been away from the internet for several days, so I did not read it until tonight. What a beautiful post, I love all of your photography and I love being your “friend”. Hugs, Cindy S.

Yes we are both thinking ahead like the fashion industry is now showing spring lines….I was just taking pictures of pink roses for the same reason. Enough of the rust, the brown, the red, the orange, the yellow.

Pink, pink, pink! don’t stay gone too long!!

Thanks for delighting us! I just subscribed to your blog!

  19. Chic Provence writes:

I meant to ask you, how do you manage to be in Paris long enough to be tempted by the pink pastries, do you live there part of the time? lucky lucky you!!

I really enjoyed the little “pink” break. You really do take the most gorgous photos. Especially loved the gate picture.

Pierre says I will buy anything if it’s pink hehe. It might be true…

  22. Pink is always lovely. The china flowers are so delicate and beautiful. I know what you mean about Laduree - irresistable - unfortunately the effect is a very pronounced ‘wiggle’! C’est la vie!
